About aid to Visual Artist’s and Visual Artisans via CZ Visual Arts Society

Our goal is simple: a Canadian (BC) community of entrepreneur-craftspeople who have the ability to improve their own lives, the lives of their families, the communities in which they make their homes, and their livelihoods. Our goal is to change the lives of thousands of visual artist’s and artisans through "Market Link" programs of product design, production and entrepreneurial business skills.

Mission

We offer practical assistance to visual artists and artisan groups in British Columbia to foster artistic traditions, cultural vitality, improved livelihoods and community well-being. Through collaboration in product development, business skills training and development of new markets, we provide sustainable economic and social benefits for crafts people in an environmentally sensitive and culturally respectful manner.

Program

CZ Visual Arts Society (CZ VAS) will continue to change the lives of thousands of artists and artisans through its “Market Link" program of product design, production and business skills. In developing countries, handcrafts continue to provide an important source of income, especially in rural areas and especially for women.

Goal

To provide economically sustainable and social benefits to artists and artisans in an environmentally and culturally sensitive manner.

Approach

Investing in short-term (from 1 month to 3 years) financial, educational and technical assistance that results in strengthened visual artist and artisan enterprises and organizations with new markets – this investment results in sustained growth past the lifespan of our involvement. CZ Visual Arts Society does not play a permanent lifetime roll.

Methodology

CZ Visual Arts Society (CZ VAS) offers integrated services through its proven formula of product development, business management skills and marketing for four distinct groups: Artists; Artisans; The Artisan Sector; and Markets.

CZ Visual Arts Society will also support artisans through the Grants Program, which will be made available to artists and artisan groups within British Columbia. Typically, these small grants are used to help groups purchase much needed equipment and materials to improve or increase their visual art production and media.

Impact

CZ Visual Arts Society wishes to aid in creating jobs and create an income for visual art oriented people in British Columbia, whether it be brushes or other crafts and beads to create this art. We wish to make each sector unique by its sheer origin.

Operation in British Columbia

British Columbia is the current target market of our society as we build a niche within the visual artist’s and artisan communities and communicate those needs with financial awareness and assistance.
